Built From
The Inside Out.
We didn't start as marketers who decided to serve contractors. We started as contractors who spent 8 years learning corporate marketing — and came back to build the agency we always wished existed.
We Grew Up on Job Sites.
Growing up, weekends didn't mean video games and sleeping in. They meant job sites. Our dad — a construction management graduate from BYU and a real estate and construction attorney — made sure we understood the trades from the ground up. We spent our high school years and early twenties working for contractors, learning what a real day's work looked like.
We know what it feels like to pour concrete in July heat. We know what a bid process looks like from the inside. We know why contractors don't have time to think about Instagram — because they're busy running crews, managing jobs, and keeping clients happy.
Our father built homes and developed land across Utah — teaching us to understand both the blue-collar craft and the white-collar business side of construction.
Then We Went Deep on Marketing.
For the last 8 years, Caleb and Jared have both worked in marketing at corporate companies in SaaS and e-commerce — learning at scale what actually moves the needle. SEO strategies that rank. Ad campaigns that convert. CRM systems that automate follow-up. Content that builds authority over time.
We weren't just executing — we were building systems, running teams, and learning what separates agencies that deliver from agencies that just collect retainers.
We Kept Our Licenses for a Reason.
While working in corporate marketing, we never let our contractor licenses lapse. That wasn't an accident. We knew the industry we came from was being underserved — and we knew we'd come back to it.
The construction contractors we grew up around were incredible at their craft. But when it came to marketing? They were getting burned by generic agencies that treated them like any other client — no understanding of the trade, no knowledge of the bidding process, no idea what a contractor's day actually looks like.
So Caleb and Jared built Construction Marketing Team — a full marketing operation run by people who've been on job sites and in boardrooms. The combination most agencies can't touch and most contractors can't build themselves.
The Studio, The System, The Mission.
We built a podcast studio in our garage — surrounded by Milwaukee tools, a slatwall full of contractor equipment, and two leather chairs where we interview construction business owners doing things right.
Every strategy we build for clients is one we'd use ourselves. Every tool we recommend is one we actually run. Every result we chase is a real job booked for a real contractor.
We're not building a faceless agency. We're building the marketing partner we always wanted when we were on the job site — someone who speaks the language, delivers the results, and actually gives a damn.
Active B100 License
We didn't just work in construction once — we hold an active B100 contractor license in Utah. We renew it because we're committed to this industry for the long term.
Corporate Marketing Background
8 years building marketing systems at scale in SaaS and e-commerce. We know what enterprise-level strategy looks like — and we bring that to contractors who've never had access to it.
Legal & Business Foundation
Our father is a real estate and construction attorney and BYU construction management grad who built homes and developed land. We understand contracts, risk, and the business side of construction that most marketers never see.
The Podcast
We built a full podcast studio to document what's working for contractors across the country. Every guest brings real numbers, real lessons, and real results — and we turn it all into content that helps the whole industry.
Systems-First Approach
We don't just run campaigns — we build machines. Website, GBP, CRM, ads, SEO, and reviews all connected into one system that generates leads while you run your crew.
Niche. Not Generalist.
We only work with construction contractors. No restaurants, no dentists, no e-commerce brands. That focus means every strategy, every template, and every process we've built is dialed in for your industry.
A Garage Built for
Contractor Conversations.
We didn't rent a sleek downtown office. We built a podcast studio in our garage — surrounded by Milwaukee tools, a slatwall of contractor equipment, and the same work ethic our dad instilled in us growing up.
It's where we interview contractors, record our podcast, strategize for clients, and build the systems that fill pipelines. It looks the way it does on purpose — because we want every contractor who sees it to know immediately: these guys get it.
Two Brothers.
One Mission.
We're not a 50-person agency with account managers you'll never meet. When you work with Construction Marketing Team, you work with Caleb and Jared directly.
Caleb leads client strategy, marketing systems, and operations. After years building marketing at SaaS companies, he came back to construction to build something he actually believed in.
Jared leads all content strategy, SEO, and GEO. He's spent years learning what actually ranks and what drives organic traffic — and he brings that discipline to every contractor we work with.
